AMD RX 9060 XT may be released in May to compete with NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti

[ Gearbest Technology News]After Nvidia officially launched the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti yesterday, competition in the mid-range GPU market has become increasingly fierce. According to foreign media reports, AMD will also release its new mid-range graphics card, Radeon RX 9060 XT, in May, which may be officially unveiled during the Taipei International Computer Show (Computex).

Although AMD has not officially announced the specific release time of the new generation of GPUs, various signs indicate that Radeon RX 9060 XT is likely to become another masterpiece of the RDNA 4 architecture. The card will be based on the new Navi 44 core, equipped with a 128-bit video memory bandwidth, and will be available in 8GB and 16GB video memory configurations. It will be positioned directly against Nvidia's RTX 5060 Ti.

It is understood that the RX 9060 XT will be equipped with 2048 stream processors (SP), which is equivalent to half of the RX 9070 XT. The game frequency is expected to be 2620MHz, and the Boost acceleration frequency can reach 3230MHz. The overall performance is expected to achieve a significant jump compared to the RX 7600 XT.

Currently, Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti is priced at US$379 (8GB version) and US$429 (16GB version), but market feedback is not ideal, mainly because the actual selling price is higher than the official recommended retail price and the supply is poor. In comparison, the industry generally believes that if AMD can make a more attractive price strategy for the RX 9060 XT and maintain a good inventory supply, it will be expected to capture more shares in the mid-range market.
