Huawei OPPO Honor is revealed to be pushing into the performance tablet market with new chips and super-large batteries

All three will be the first to be equipped with new flagship processors and equipped with ultra-large-capacity batteries, which are expected to achieve significant improvements in performance and battery life. Among them, Honor’s new tablet will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 mobile platform for the first time in the tablet market.

It is reported that Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 is Qualcomm’s top mobile platform that will be officially released at the 2025 Snapdragon Summit, using TSMC’s 3nm N3P process. The CPU part of this chip adopts the self-developed Oryon architecture, which is composed of 2 ultra-large cores with a main frequency of up to 4.61GHz and 6 large cores with a frequency of 3.63GHz. The total L2 and L3 caches reach 32MB, which significantly improves data processing efficiency.

In terms of graphics performance, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 integrates Adreno GPU and introduces a 16MB independent L2 cache for the first time, which can effectively reduce frequent access to system memory and improve game frame rate stability. It also supports hardware-level ray tracing and variable rate shading (VRS) technology to further improve the realism and efficiency of mobile graphics rendering.

Performance test data shows that the platform's comprehensive running score on AnTuTu is expected to exceed 4 million points, which is about 50% higher than the current flagship platform; in the Geekbench 6 test, the single-core score is expected to exceed 4,000 points and the multi-core score exceeds 11,000 points.
