[ Gearbest Technology News]On June 10, eG Innovations held a press conference at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, announcing that it would officially enter the Korean SAP PCE and VDI market with AI observability technology as the core. The company plans to build on customers such as SK Hynix and LG Electronics, while also targeting SAP cloud conversion needs and VDI monitoring needs in the public and financial sectors.
Kim Hyun-chan, general manager of eG Innovations Korea Branch, announced specific market targets and revenue plans at the meeting. He said that the demand for SAP PCE and VDI in the Korean market is growing rapidly, and the company will expand its business around these two areas. The company estimates that the overall SAP monitoring market size in South Korea will reach 40 billion won in 2030, of which the company's main focus on the SAP PCE professional operation and automated monitoring market is 10 billion won. The goal is to occupy 50% of this market segment and, coupled with APM demand, achieve SAP PCE-related revenue of 6 billion won by 2030.
In terms of background, SAP cloud conversion by large Korean companies is expanding. With changes in SAP maintenance policies, companies in manufacturing, circulation, finance and other fields are accelerating their shift to SAP PCE, and their demand for integrated monitoring covering internal application status, infrastructure, databases, networks and end-user experience is growing. Srihari Awal, director of global solution engineering at eG Innovations, pointed out that SAP tools can only see internal problems within the application and cannot explain the underlying infrastructure status and actual user performance experience at the same time. After enterprises migrate SAP to private clouds, end-to-end visibility across multiple levels becomes critical.
The company emphasized that its differentiating advantages include official SAP certification, hybrid cloud full range visibility, actual user performance measurement and local deployment experience in South Korea. eG Enterprise has received official certifications related to RISE with SAP and SAP PCE, and can monitor end-user experience, SAP application layer, HANA database, middleware, infrastructure and network storage from a single console. In addition, the company has experience in SAP PCE conversion projects for LG Electronics, HMM and other companies.
VDI is another core growth point. eG Innovations estimates that the VDI-related market size in South Korea is 50 billion to 85 billion won, of which the surveillance market is 10 billion to 15 billion won. This year’s VDI business target is 4 billion won, and the 2027 target is 7 billion won. There has been a recent increase in VDI monitoring consulting and proof-of-concept projects in finance, public institutions and the public sector.
SK hynix’s factory in Wuxi, China is a typical success story. According to Jin Xiancan, after the company provided solutions to an environment of about 5,000 people in 2021, the number of system complaints decreased by 50% to 60%, and the fault response time was shortened from 2 hours to 20 minutes.
The company also announced business results in South Korea. eG Innovations took Samsung Electronics as its first customer in 2011 and established a Korean branch in 2018. Since then, it has grown at an average annual rate of more than 30%. It currently has more than 40 cumulative customers and more than 10 partners. Its main customers include Samsung, LG Electronics, HMM, NH Nonghyup Bank, DB Damage Insurance, KB Capital, KT&G, EBS, etc. Kim Hyun-chan said that SAP PCE and VDI are rapidly expanding areas of management blind spots in South Korea, and the company will further expand its market share in South Korea with official certification, end-to-end visibility and actual deployment experience.
