[ Gearbest Technology News]During the 2026 Computex in Taipei, China, storage solution manufacturer Phison showcased a number of new products for AI infrastructure and proposed the development direction of transforming from a traditional storage supplier to an “AI enabler”. Compared with the past focus on SSD products, this year Phison emphasizes the combination of storage technology and AI application scenarios, hoping to improve the efficiency of AI training and inference through software and hardware collaboration.

At the exhibition, Phison brought the Pascari D206V NVMe SSD for the server and data center market, with a maximum capacity of 245.76TB. Officials stated that this product is based on the QLC flash memory solution. A single disk can replace multiple large-capacity mechanical hard drives and has higher space utilization in high-density storage scenarios in data centers. At the same time, Phison also demonstrated the Pascari D250P SSD prototype product with liquid cooling design. Compared with traditional air cooling solutions, its surface temperature can be reduced by up to 13 degrees Celsius, which helps improve the operational stability of the data center in high-load environments.

In response to the storage needs brought about by the rapid growth of AI applications, Phison focused on aiDAPTIV technology. This solution can use part of the SSD storage space as KV Cache, thereby reducing dependence on large-capacity memory. Phison believes that this technology is especially suitable for devices such as AI PCs, which can run larger AI models without significantly increasing the memory configuration.

In addition to storage products, Phison also demonstrated its self-developed NPU “Topaz”. The chip is designed with an 8-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor and a 4-core NPU architecture. A single chip can provide up to 40TOPS of computing power. When combined with multiple chips, it can achieve up to 320TOPS of computing performance. It can be used in scenarios such as image recognition, large language model reasoning, speech recognition, and visual analysis.

In addition, Phison also disclosed the X3 (PS5303) SSD controller prototype based on the PCIe 6.0 standard, which supports NVMe 2.3 and OCP 2.6 specifications and can support up to 2PB capacity in the future. Phison said that as AI data centers continue to increase their data throughput capabilities, high-speed storage will play an increasingly important role in future AI infrastructure construction, and the company is continuing to deploy next-generation products around this trend.
