Its hinge structure has been redesigned to enable touch operations for the first time on a Mac. Apple has previously avoided introducing touch screens on Macs for fear of affecting iPad sales, but the latest product planning shows this strategy may change.

In terms of core technology, the M6 ​​processor may use TSMC’s 2nm process technology. Through WMCM advanced packaging technology, the M6 ​​chip more closely integrates components such as CPU, GPU and memory, aiming to improve overall computing performance and battery life. In terms of network connection, Apple plans to integrate a self-developed 5G modem into the new MacBook to support continuous network connection through eSIM.
