In the first quarter, Samsung produced 64.5 million smartphones and tablets, 22% more than the original plan of 52.9 million units. Adding the expected production volume in the first quarter and the second quarter, Samsung’s total production volume in the first half of the year is expected to reach 114.4 million units, 13% more than the planned 101.2 million units.

It is reported that the reasons why Samsung’s first-quarter production exceeded expectations by 22% may include the effective AI marketing of the S24 series of mobile phones and the expansion of sales of low-priced mobile phones in the Indian market.

Korean media said that although production in the first half of the year exceeded plan, it is expected that Samsung may reduce production in the third quarter to protect profit margins. Except for the new foldable phone that will be launched in July, no other high-margin products are expected in the third quarter.
