[Mobile China News]According to global pre-order data, Samsung's S24 series is very popular in Europe.
Samsung said consumers across Europe “flocked to retailers to buy the device.” Pre-orders for the S24 in the first seven days exceeded the total pre-orders for Samsung's S23 series last year. In countries such as the Netherlands, S24 pre-orders were 50% higher than the S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra. The high demand for the S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra has caused some shipping delays, and demand seems to be continuing to increase. Stocks will soon run out and users need to rush to get their hands on the S24 series phones.
Samsung hasn't broken down pre-orders by model, but European buyers, like consumers in other regions, are likely more interested in the S24 Ultra. When it comes to Samsung flagship phones, the top-of-the-line models always perform better, and it's clear that most customers willing to pay a premium will still choose the absolute best phone.
Samsung has undoubtedly benefited from the recovery in global smartphone sales over the past few months. However, it remains to be seen how long the high demand for the S24 series can last and whether total sales can reach the level of the S10, which was the last Samsung flagship product to break the 30 million unit sales mark.
According to data released by market research firm Canalys, Samsung is the manufacturer with the highest shipments in Europe in 2023, with shipments reaching 43.7 million units, ranking first. It is followed by Apple, Xiaomi, Motorola and OPPO. In the fourth quarter of 2023, Honor's shipments in Europe increased by 116% year-on-year, ranking among the top five in the European market for the first time.
