Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro released with Intel Lunar Lake chip

[ Gearbest Technology News]On December 12, Samsung launched the Galaxy Book 5 Pro laptop in South Korea, available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. It is equipped with Intel’s latest Lunar Lake series chips. The built-in NPU supports up to 47 TOPS of AI computing power, boosting AI performance. The Galaxy Book 5 Pro will go on sale in South Korea on January 2, 2025, in gray and silver options. However, Samsung has not yet announced specific memory and storage configurations.

The Galaxy Book 5 Pro features a dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Vision Booster technology for outdoor use. The audio experience is enhanced by a four-speaker system, including two tweeters and two woofers, delivering richer sound.

This notebook also introduces a staggered HDR webcam, which combines frames with different exposures for better color restoration and a wider dynamic range. It includes a backlit keyboard and a large multi-touch trackpad with Windows Precision drivers for smoother operation.

The large battery in the Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro supports up to 25 hours of use. It offers a variety of interfaces, including HDMI 2.1, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB Type-A, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A microSD card slot allows easy storage expansion or peripheral connection.

The device comes pre-installed with Windows 11 and introduces Galaxy AI and Microsoft Copilot+ functions. The AI Select feature lets users directly select screen content and search for relevant information. The Photo Remaster function improves the quality of low-resolution pictures.

The Galaxy Book 5 Pro integrates Galaxy ecosystem features like Multi Control, Quick Share, and Second Screen. These tools enhance cross-device collaboration.
