Qualcomm is developing three new mid-range Snapdragon chips involving the 4/6/7 series

The three Snapdragon mobile platform models are SM4635, SM6650, and SM7635, and may eventually be named Snapdragon 4 Gen 3, Snapdragon 6 Gen 2, and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3.

Judging from the model, this wave of new Snapdragon platforms are all mid-range products and are expected to be used in the hundreds and thousand yuan phones of major Android phone manufacturers in the future.

Among them, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 mobile platform has the highest positioning, but we currently do not know the parameter information of this chip. Its previous generation product, Snapdragon 7s Gen2, is a mid-range mobile platform based on Samsung's 4nm process, using a quad-core A78+quad-core A55 architecture, and is an old architecture product of the ARM v8 series. The frequency of Snapdragon 7s Gen2 is 2.4GHz for the A78 large core and 1.95GHz for the A55 small core, which is equivalent to Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G and will be adopted by Redmi’s new tablet in the near future.

According to data released by market research organization Counterpoint Research, in the third quarter of 2023, Qualcomm’s market share in the global smartphone application processor (AP) market was 28%. Its latest flagship mobile platform, Snapdragon 8 Gen3, is based on TSMC's 4nm process. Compared with the previous generation, its performance has been improved by 30% and its power consumption efficiency has been improved by 20%. It has been adopted by Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Samsung, Meizu, ZTE, Nubia and many other mobile phone manufacturers adopt it.
