[Gearbest News]During the Xbox Games Showcase held in the early morning of June 12, 2023, Microsoft announced a new Xbox Series S console option for buyers who are ready to switch to Xbox. Starting September 1st, users can buy the Carbon Black (carbon black version) Xbox Series S game console with a 1TB hard drive.
The company says it has received considerable feedback from consumers that they want to buy a model with more storage, which is not surprising since there are many games on the market that can quickly eat up 100GB of storage.
If you already own an Xbox Series X, Microsoft says you'll find that the new Xbox Series S in Carbon Black will match it, including having the same matte finish. Conversely, if you currently own an Xbox Series S with a 512GB hard drive, there's no good reason to upgrade. Because the performance levels of the consoles are the same, you might as well buy a hard drive upgrade for your existing Xbox instead of upgrading to a new product.
However, if you do find the Carbon Black hue particularly appealing, you can buy the 1TB Carbon Black version of the Xbox Series S for $349 (approximately RMB 2,500).
