NVIDIA RTX 5090 Performance: 70% Faster Than Previous Generation

NVIDIA RTX 50 series graphics cards are expected to debut at CES 2025 in January next year. Although the launch is less than a month away, the specific performance data about the new card is still mysterious. Well-known tipster OneRaichu shared exciting news on the X platform, expecting this flagship graphics card, the NVIDIA RTX 5090, to boost its performance by up to 70%.

He revealed that the top models of the RTX 50 series, such as the RTX 5090, will experience a 60% to 70% performance leap, while advanced models like the RTX 5080 will see a 30% to 40% performance improvement. NVIDIA expects performance improvements of 20% to 30% for mid-level products like the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060.

It is still unknown whether the rumored RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5060 Ti, and higher-end RTX 5090 Ti or RTX Titan AI exist. Although the prediction is not precise enough, these improvements appear more radical than previous RedGamingTech revelations. RedGamingTech claims that RTX Titan AI performance has increased by 63%, while upgrading from RTX 4090 to NVIDIA RTX 5090 performance shows a 48% jump.

Regardless, it’s certain that the performance gap between the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will be significant. There is speculation that the RTX 5080’s performance may approach that of the current RTX 4090, which would still mark a significant improvement for players.
