IQ tax? US media tested Apple Vision Pro and left it covered in dust after a month

[Gearbest Technology News]Recently, Joanna Stern, a well-known technology columnist for the Wall Street Journal, said that after using Apple Vision Pro for a month, she uses it less and less frequently and said that she would not buy the device for personal purposes. Stern said that although Vision Pro has a “killer application scenario”, it is difficult to spend $3,500 on it.

“I really enjoyed using the Vision Pro at first, and I still do, but I use it much less frequently,” said Stern, who initially thought the device was great for work and as a writing environment, but found that it wasn't. Eventually, her main use scenario became watching movies and TV series.

Stern believes that watching video content during flights may be one of the most suitable scenarios for Vision Pro: “I have to say that wearing it on an airplane is definitely the 'killer app'. You will see more people wearing it on airplanes in the future because it is really a great experience. Even if you are sitting in first class, it will make you feel great. And if you happen to be sandwiched between a couple like I was a few weeks ago, it will be even more helpful.”

Stern points out that this is the fundamental problem facing all VR headsets: users get excited initially, but most of them end up on the shelf, and she thinks the Vision Pro is no exception.
