The liquid-cooled version used Kirin X90, and the soft-light version and standard version used Kirin X90A. This new version will be upgraded to the Kirin X90 chip as standard, which means it will receive higher-performance computing power support. As Huawei's self-developed chip, Kirin X90 has been installed on Hongmeng computer products such as MateBook Pro and MateBook Fold, and its performance has been recognized by the market.
It is reported that Huawei MatePad Edge will be officially released in November 2025. It is the first two-in-one tablet equipped with Hongmeng system and supports seamless switching between tablet/computer dual modes. In terms of hardware configuration, the machine is equipped with a 14.2-inch OLED screen with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 94%, a resolution of 3120×2080, and supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000nit peak brightness. The built-in battery capacity of Huawei MatePad Edge is 12900mAh, and the body weight is about 789 grams.
In addition, Huawei MatePad Edge has recently launched an early adopter upgrade to the HarmonyOS 6 pollen beta version, adding new functions such as “touch and click” transfer, AI document comparison, AI staining, and Harmony Galaxy Interconnect (supporting mutual transmission with Apple devices) to further improve cross-device collaboration efficiency and smart office experience.
