[Mobile China News]On January 18, a digital blogger exposed the rough specifications of Huawei's Kirin PC processor. It is initially expected to be equipped with 4×TSV large core, 4×TSV medium core, Maleoon 910 8-10cu, dual large-core NPU (Ascend Lite), dual micro-core NPU (Ascend Tiny), up to 32GB LPDDR5-6400, and up to 2TB SSD. 2 or 3×USB4.0, performance is equivalent to Apple A12Z. Among them, Maleoon 910 is Huawei’s self-developed GPU.
It is understood that Apple A12Z is an iteration of the A12X chip. Both chips are variants of the A12 chip. Apple A12Z is manufactured using a 7nm process, with a frequency of 1.59GHz and acceleration to 2.49GHz. It has 8 GPU cores and handles graphics tasks quite well.
As early as last year, shortly after the release of the Huawei Mate60 series, there was news that Huawei was going to build Hongmeng PC, and the system construction was basically completed and it is expected to be launched this year.
An insider analyzed: “I think Hongmeng PC is inevitable, and at present, PC systems do need to be restructured by various manufacturers, because some capabilities cannot keep up with the pace of the Internet of Everything. If we want to give users a more extreme interactive experience, the PC Win system will inevitably need to be improved, or its own new PC system that is compatible with Windows will be launched.”
Not only that, Hongmeng PC will also be equipped with a dedicated Kirin processor. Although its performance may only be at the level of Apple's processors a few years ago, it is completely sufficient, and this is just the beginning.
