[Gearbest News]According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple plans to refresh its entire iPad series in 2024. This means new models of iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad mini, and entry-level iPad are expected to launch next year.
In the latest issue of the Power On newsletter, Gurman talked about the lack of new iPads and AirPods heading into the holiday shopping season: Apple could have tried to launch more new products, but improved iPads and AirPods just weren't ready. The company plans to refresh its entire iPad lineup in 2024. New entry-level AirPods will also launch next year, and in 2025, Apple will launch updated AirPods Pro models.
Gurman predicts that 2023 will be the first year without any new iPad releases since Apple first launched the device in 2010, so all iPad models will likely receive updates next year. By sorting out the last update time of different iPad models, we can also find that the current iPad Pro and the tenth-generation iPad were launched in October 2022, the current iPad Air was launched in March 2022, and the iPad mini was launched in It will go on sale in September 2021.
Gurman has previously said that mid- to low-end iPads could be updated as early as March 2024, while he expects new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models equipped with M3 chips and OLED screens to be launched in the first half of 2024. The next generation iPad Air and iPad mini may be equipped with M2 and A16 Bionic chips respectively.
