Apple Intelligence: iPad to Support AI by Late 2025

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Appleโ€™s most affordable iPad model will receive a major update by the end of 2025, adding the highly anticipated Apple Intelligence feature. This update will likely come at the same time as the iPhone SE’s update in March 2025, which will also introduce Apple Intelligence.

In his latest Power On newsletter, Gurman revealed that by 2026, nearly all Apple devices with screens will support Apple Intelligence. This includes the entry-level iPad, which has not received an update since the launch of the 10th-generation model in October 2022. This delay could be attributed to the technical requirements for incorporating AI functions into an affordable $349 device.

Gulman: The new entry -level iPad may support Apple Smart at the end of next year

The current 10th-generation iPad uses the A14 chip, first introduced with the iPhone 12 series. This chip has become outdated, prompting speculation that Apple will upgrade to the A16 chip from the iPhone 15 series. Alternatively, the A17 Pro or A18 chip could be necessary to support Apple Intelligence features fully.

Recently, Apple unveiled the new iPad Mini, which supports Apple Intelligence, signaling the company’s intention to integrate this feature across its product lineup. Additionally, Apple has reduced the price of the iPad 10 in the European market and no longer includes a charger in the box. These adjustments hint at a potential launch of a new iPad model, possibly an iPad 11. However, the company is unlikely to make such changes if a new device were imminent.

As Apple continues to innovate, it will integrate Apple Intelligence into more devices, offering an enhanced user experience across its product range. Keep an eye out for future announcements and updates, as Apple rolls out this cutting-edge AI technology.
