Osterloh said on stage: “We have launched a project to integrate these resources and are working together to create a unified technology foundation for PC and desktop computing system products,” and mentioned Google's efforts to bring its artificial intelligence technology stack to PCs. He also said that this is the result of joint efforts on the AI stack and the full stack – introducing Gemini models, intelligent assistants, and all applications and developer communities to the PC field.
According to foreign media reports, Google is embarking on a multi-year project aimed at merging Chrome OS and Android. Previously, a Google executive made it clear that the company was integrating ChromeOS and Android systems. Amon's conversations with Osterloh clearly point to this ongoing project. Google's willingness to discuss the matter publicly now suggests it may be one step closer to creating a version of Android that works seamlessly across smartphones, tablets and laptops.
According to Gearbest, ChromeOS is an operating system developed by Google based on ChromiumOS. It uses the Chrome browser as the core interface and the entire system with the “cloud” as the core. Since 2016, it has gradually supported Android Apps and Linux applications.
