[Gearbest Technology News]In January this year, foreign media 91mobiles and MySmartPrice released renderings of Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro respectively. But now news has emerged that these devices are actually the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. Google will launch an “XL” version this year for the first time since the Pixel 5 series. Now, 91mobiles brings an exclusive first look at the Pixel 9.
It includes a total of four 5K renderings and a 360-degree video, giving us an intuitive understanding of the upcoming Pixel 9. According to the renderings, the design of Pixel 9 is similar to that of Pixel 9 Pro, with a compact body and a thick rear camera module. However, the Pixel 9 uses a dual-camera setup compared to the Pro model's three-camera system.
Pixel 9 will use a straight screen with rounded corners, supplemented by a centered single-hole design. The power button and volume rocker are located on the right side of the phone's frame. The smartphone will feature a 6.03-inch display, which is slightly smaller than the Pixel 9 Pro's 6.1-inch display. OnLeaks revealed that in terms of size, the Pixel 9 measures approximately 152.8×71.9×8.5mm, and the rear camera is 12mm after the bump.
The Pixel 9's black color is similar to the Pixel 9 Pro XL. It is very likely that Google will launch Pixel 9 in other colors. It looks like Google is changing the design on the Pixel 9 series to look similar to the iPhone 15 or even the Galaxy S24 series.
However, while we already have an idea of what the Pixel 9 will look like, we know very little about the specs of the device. Previous rumors claimed that the machine’s “adaptive touch” feature would adjust the sensitivity of the touch screen based on factors such as environment, activity, or screen protectors.
The Pixel 9 series is also expected to adopt Qi2 charging technology. This is an upgraded standard that increases wireless charging speeds to 15W and uses magnetic alignment. The Pixel 9 series is also likely to use the yet-to-be-released Tensor G4 chipset.
