Total shipments in the fourth quarter reached 74.8 million units, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%; full-year shipments reached 279.5 million units, an increase of 9.2% from 2024, of which 220.4 million notebooks (including mobile workstations) were shipped throughout the year, an increase of 8%; desktops (including desktop workstations) were shipped 59 million units, an increase of 14.4%.

Data shows that Lenovo continues to lead the global market, shipping 19.3 million units in the fourth quarter, a year-on-year increase of 14.4%; it shipped 70.85 million units throughout the year, an increase of 14.6%, and its market share reached 25.4%. HP ranked second, shipping 15.4 million units in the fourth quarter and 57.44 million units for the year, with a market share of 20.6%. Dell achieved strong growth in the fourth quarter, up 26% year-on-year, with shipments of 12.47 million units in the single quarter and 41.89 million units for the full year. Apple had the fastest growth throughout the year, with a year-on-year growth of 16.4%, shipping 27.67 million units, and its market share increased to 9.9%. ASUS ranks firmly in fifth place, shipping 5.31 million units in the fourth quarter and 20.07 million units for the full year.

Despite the growth in market shipments, starting from mid-2025, the memory and storage supply chain has tightened and prices have continued to rise. Data shows that from the first quarter to the fourth quarter of 2025, the cost of PC DRAM will increase by approximately 70%, and the cost of PC SSD will increase by approximately 40%. Omdia predicts that PC DRAM prices may increase by another 50% in the first quarter of 2026.

Ben Yeh, chief analyst at Omdia, pointed out: “The rising costs have been transmitted to the end market, and supply tension will further intensify in 2026.
