Apple’s macOS 15 settings interface will receive a major update, making it smarter and more beautiful

According to Gearbest, this update will completely revolutionize the arrangement of “menus and application user interfaces”. The “System Settings” application in macOS Ventura system will receive a major update.

It is reported that a distinctive feature of macOS 15 is its new organization system based on “priority and overall importance.” In System Settings, the Notifications and Sounds categories will be moved down, while General Settings will be moved up under Network Settings. The existing wallpapers and display sections will no longer have dedicated areas, but will be merged with general settings, accessibility settings, and more. Privacy and security will be paired with Touch ID and passcode and other related settings. Siri and Spotlight will sit alongside Internet Accounts and Game Center.

Apple also plans to redesign the Siri menu bar icon, replacing the current colorful icon with a black and white flat icon. In addition, the Calculator (a more iOS-like design) and Safari (a unified menu for page controls) will also see design changes. Other changes in macOS 15 are rumored to include a printable account recovery summary option, a new iCloud preference panel, and a “modernized” user interface for AirDrop.

Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference keynote will be held on June 10 (Monday), when Apple will release macOS 15, iOS 18, tvOS 18, visionOS 2 and watchOS 11.

With the upcoming release of macOS 15, users will experience a more concise and efficient system settings interface, as well as a series of new features and design changes.
