[ Gearbest Technology News]On May 14, AMD officially announced that its new mid-range graphics card, Radeon RX 9060 XT, will be officially released at the Computex exhibition in Taipei on May 21. At the same time, AMD released the renderings of the reference version of the graphics card through its official social account, but unfortunately, this exquisite dual fan design card will not be sold to consumers.
Judging from the renderings, the RX 9060 XT continues the reference card design style of the RX 9070 XT, adopts a dual fan cooling solution and is equipped with a single 8-pin PCI-E power interface, which means that its power consumption should be controlled within 200W, and is positioned at the mid-to-high-end market. Although AMD did not specify whether the card was actually produced, the official illustration clearly stated “art rendering, non-sale product” below, implying that this may be just a conceptual design for release display.
In terms of core specifications, the RX 9060 XT is expected to be equipped with 2048 streaming processors and has two video memory versions of 8GB and 16GB. Currently AMD seems to be more inclined to promote the 16GB version, while the 8GB model will be launched later. The card will be equipped with 128-bit bit-wide GDDR6 video memory, mainly benchmarking NVIDIA's upcoming RTX 5060 Ti, targeting the mid-range gaming market.
Although the reference version is not available, AIB manufacturers (cooperative brands) will launch various non-public custom cards, some of which are expected to be equipped with dual 8-pin interfaces to support higher power consumption performance. The detailed specifications and performance of the RX 9060 XT will be officially announced at the press conference on May 21.
The launch event was spoken by Jack Huynh, senior vice president and general manager of computing and graphics business of AMD. It will also bring a display of AI PCs, gaming hardware and more cutting-edge technologies. AMD obviously hopes to consolidate its competitiveness in mainstream e-sports and AI computing with this new card.
