The Ryzen 5 9600 had a preheating a few months ago, but AMD has not officially announced its time or date for the market. The processor was originally expected to be released in January, but due to some delays, it finally officially entered the retail market recently. Some overseas netizens revealed that the Ryzen 5 9600 has been launched in multiple retailers in the UK and Europe. The price of the SCAN.CO.UK store in the UK is 221.99 pounds (about 2033 yuan), while the price of the LDLC store in France is 299.95 euros (about 2275 yuan), but the latter will not arrive in 15 days.
The AMD Ryzen 5 9600 is priced slightly lower than its sibling model Ryzen 5 9600X, which costs £239.99 (about 2200 yuan) at SCAN.CO.UK and €309.5 (about 2347 yuan) at LDLC. According to the price in the US market, the Ryzen 5 9600 is about $229 (about 1,660 yuan), which is about $20 cheaper than the Ryzen 5 9600X’s $249 (about 1,805 yuan), providing a good price advantage.
In terms of specifications, the Ryzen 5 9600 is almost the same as the Ryzen 5 9600X, both adopt a 6-core and 12-thread configuration, and is based on the Zen 5 architecture, with the L3 cache of 32MB and the TDP of 65W. The main difference is the frequency: the reference/maximum frequency of the Ryzen 5 9600 is 3.8/5.2 GHz, which is lower than the 3.9/5.4 GHz of the Ryzen 5 9600X. Additionally, the Ryzen 5 9600 comes with a Wraith Stealth radiator, while the Ryzen 5 9600X does not come with a radiator, making the 9600 more affordable in terms of cost.
