Huawei ranked first in China's wearable wristband device market in Q4 2023, and Apple ranked fourth

The data showed that in the fourth quarter of 2023, global shipments of smart wearable devices were 48.5 million units, down 3% year-on-year. Specifically in the Chinese market, Huawei ranked first with a market share of 33%, and Xiaomi and XTC (Xiaotiancai) entered the top three.

Huawei Watch GT4 Series

The top three brands entering the Chinese market have all achieved different degrees of annual growth, among which Huawei's annual growth is 30%, Xiaomi's is 16%, and Xiaotiancai's is 27%. Xiaomi and Xiaotiancai's market shares are 20% and 11% respectively. Further back, although Apple has retained its fourth position, its market share is only 6%, a year-on-year decrease of 32%. Honor ranks fifth with a market share of 3%, and its ranking has improved.

As for the global market, Canalys said that the 3% decline in shipments was mainly affected by high inflation and weak demand in the North American and Western European markets. In terms of manufacturer rankings, Apple's shipments have declined for four consecutive quarters, but it still ranks first with a market share of 21%. Xiaomi launched new smart watches and multi-category wearable products, with a year-on-year increase of 45%, ranking second with a market share of 11%. In addition, Huawei's Watch GT4 series of new products promoted shipments of wearable devices, with a year-on-year increase of 31% in the fourth quarter, ranking third. Google returned to fourth place with a market share of 7% thanks to the simultaneous launch of Pixel and Fitbit watches and bracelets. Fire Boltt achieved a 52% growth and ranked fifth with a market share of 6%.
