Xiaomi ranks first! China’s TV market shipments reached 4.19 million units in January

The shipment volume of complete machines reached 4.19 million units, which not only marked a remarkable year-on-year increase of 24.3%, but also showed a steady development of 21.4% month-on-month growth. In terms of brand ranking, Xiaomi ranks first.

In the market competition, the top seven traditional major brands in China's TV market – Xiaomi, Hisense, TCL, Skyworth, Changhong, Haier, Konka and their sub-brands continue to consolidate their market position. The total shipment volume of these brands was approximately 3.91 million units, a year-on-year increase of 25.6% and a month-on-month increase of 22.8%, occupying a market share of up to 93.3%.

From a global perspective, the “Global TV Brand Shipment Monthly Data Report” released by AVC Revo provides a broader industry background. Global TV shipments in 2023 will be 195.5M (millions, the same below) units, a year-on-year decrease of 3.5%. In addition, global high-end OLED TV shipments were 5.4M units, a year-on-year decrease of 20.1%, showing the challenges and changes in the high-end market.

In terms of brand rankings, Samsung maintained its No. 1 position in global shipments, while Hisense, TCL and Xiaomi rounded out the top five. Xiaomi is particularly worth mentioning. Its global shipments reached 11.3M units, especially in the Eastern European market, which achieved a growth of 26.6%. Analysis points out that the success of Xiaomi TV in the Chinese market is largely due to its cost-effectiveness advantage, and this strategy has obviously also achieved results on a global scale. In terms of technological innovation, Xiaomi launched the S Pro series of Mini LED TVs in 2023 after experimenting with OLED TVs. The launch of this new product line enabled Xiaomi TVs to quickly increase production.
