Whether it is true or not is irrelevant for the time being, but if I say that 2025 is the first year of small tablets, no one will refute it. Among these small tablets, REDMI K Pad has won the favor of many users due to its good cost performance and excellent use. Now it has ushered in a new generation model – REDMI K Pad 2.
At the beginning, I will first set the tone for this small tablet. Let’s not talk about its highlights. But for users of my generation, it is definitely the most persuasive one. REDMI K Pad 2, like its predecessor, adopts an all-metal integrated body design, and has upgraded the micron-level ceramic sandblasting process, making it feel better and more delicate to the touch. Compared with the previous generation product, the overall size can be regarded as a millimeter-level adjustment, and the portability and grip feel have basically remained unchanged.
The reason why it is said to be persuasive is because this generation has eliminated the decorative parts in the camera Deco position. There are almost no additional visual elements on the back of the fuselage. It is very simple and clean. Apart from the camera, only the REDMI logo is left. REDMI K Pad 2 offers three colors this time – space silver, electric purple, and deep black. This screen also supports super-sensing night vision function, optimizes low-light contrast, improves detail effects in dark-light environments, and specifically strengthens the weak points of LCD screens compared to OLED screens. Including me, many small tablet users prefer LCD screens, but color performance, backlight effects, etc. make the choice confusing. The screen upgrade of REDMI K Pad 2 can be regarded as solving one of the pain points.
As for the performance part, REDMI K Pad 2 uses the Dimensity 9500 chip. This SoC must be very familiar to everyone. It has a 3-nanometer process technology, one C1-Ultra large core at 4.21GHz, three C1-Premium large cores at 3.5GHz, and four C1-Pro energy efficiency cores at 2.7GHz. The GPU part is equipped with a 12-core G1-Ultra, paired with LPDDR5X+UFS There is no need to worry about the absolute performance of the 4.1 memory specification.
REDMI K Pad 2 also continues the SoC mid-mounted heat dissipation architecture, which is paired with a 15,300 square millimeter aluminum alloy liquid-cooled VC. The heat dissipation area has increased by 26% compared to the previous generation. Everyone with a mid-mounted SoC should know that the heat dissipation is more even and away from the holding area of the hands, making it more comfortable to use for a long time. After actual testing, in AnTuTu V11.1, we reached a score of 3.92 million points, which is definitely a good result for the Dimensity 9500. At the same time, during the actual game, the violent engine optimized the underlying micro-architecture and optimized SoC scheduling to obtain a better frame rate experience. After actual testing, on the classic island map of “Peace Elite”, the average frame rate in 20 minutes was 164.7, and the 1% Low frame rate was 143.4. The whole process of boarding the plane, parachuting, and landing was very smooth; and the frame rate stability was very good during the subsequent “search, attack, and retreat” process, and there was no lag in the picture.
REDMI K Pad 2 has also been upgraded in terms of touch experience. It supports 540Hz multi-finger touch reporting rate and has passed the Thiel Labs certification of “0” touch break for one million touches. Targeted touch algorithm strategy adjustments will also be made for the segmented operation hot zones of different games. And it has also been upgraded for the pressure gun part.
