Officials stated that the M5 chip injects unprecedented performance power into MacBook Air. It is equipped with a faster CPU and next-generation GPU, with built-in neural accelerators in each core, allowing MacBook Air to easily handle various workflows from creative projects to complex AI tasks. John Ternus, Apple's senior vice president of hardware engineering, said that the new MacBook Air performs well in all kinds of tasks, whether it is daily productivity work or creative workloads, and even AI processing is faster.
In terms of storage, the new MacBook Air's standard storage capacity has doubled to 512GB, and can be optionally upgraded to 4TB. It uses faster SSD technology to meet users' needs for storing large projects and games.
