The new MacBook is about to debut with colorful design, starting at $699?

According to supply chain sources, when Apple was developing the M2 chip version of MacBook Air, it planned to equip it with a series of bright color schemes, but it ultimately failed to materialize. These colorways include light yellow, light green, blue, pink, classic silver and space gray. Although the M2 MacBook Air was eventually released in these colors, a similar color scheme may be used for the upcoming new MacBook.

Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted that the new MacBook will be available in blue, pink, silver and yellow options. Earlier reports pointed out that Apple had tested a similar “fresh color scheme” for the MacBook Air a few years ago, but ultimately failed to implement it on the product line.

The M2 MacBook Air is the last major hardware redesign of the MacBook Air series, and models launched since then have continued its design language. Although the sky blue M4 version of MacBook Air launched last year has made a breakthrough in color, the overall design has not changed significantly. The launch of the new MacBook may mark an important attempt by Apple in the low-price notebook market, and is expected to sell for about US$699.
