Apple Studio Display may receive a major upgrade and is expected to be released in the first half of the year

At present, the supply of this product is tight in both online and offline channels, and the delivery time of some configurations has been postponed to late February to early March, which further confirms the speculation that the new product will be released soon.

Gurman made it clear in his Power On column that an upgraded version of Studio Display is “scheduled for launch in the first half of 2026.” This time point coincides with the unreleased Apple external display information exposed in recent regulatory documents, adding more credibility to the new product launch.

According to various sources, the new Studio Display is expected to bring three core upgrades: first, the processor will be upgraded to the A19 chip, and the performance improvement is expected to bring smoother system response; second, the screen will support ProMotion technology, the refresh rate will be increased to 120Hz, and the dynamic picture display will be smoother; finally, with the addition of HDR support, color expression and contrast will be significantly enhanced to meet the high requirements of professional users for picture quality.
