[ Gearbest Technology News]On October 15, Gearbestlearned from foreign media that more details of Intel’s next-generation mobile processor Panther Lake have recently surfaced.
It is reported that the latest version of the system monitoring software HWMonitor has added support for the Panther Lake series, initially revealing the model planning and technical specifications of this product line. This update was completed by the CPU ID team and covers the two sub-series of Panther Lake-H and Panther Lake-U. A total of 12 specific models are listed, among which the flagship model Core Ultra X9 388H is particularly interesting.
Panther Lake is Intel's first consumer-grade CPU using the 18A advanced process technology, marking an important progress in its semiconductor manufacturing technology. This series of processors continues the modular design idea, integrates the technical elements of the previous generation Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake, and integrates new computing, graphics and I/O units. Its core architecture includes a performance core based on Cougar Cove design, an energy-efficiency core based on Darkmont architecture, and an integrated Xe3 graphics architecture. The latter is equipped with up to 12 Xe cores, significantly improving graphics processing capabilities.
According to information disclosed by HWMonitor, Panther Lake will be divided into three main product tiers. The Panther Lake-U series, which is positioned as a low-power device, is mainly aimed at thin and light notebooks and ultrabooks. It is equipped with 4 performance cores and 4 energy-efficiency cores, equipped with 12MB L3 cache, integrates a GPU with up to 4 Xe cores, and supports DDR5 and LPDDR5X memory up to 6400 MT/s. This series includes four models including Core Ultra 7 360U and Core Ultra 5 350U.
The mid-range Panther Lake-H series uses a 4P+8E+4LPE core combination, the L3 cache is increased to 18MB, and the memory support is further upgraded. DDR5 can reach 7200 MT/s, and LPDDR5X supports 8533 MT/s, bringing stronger multi-tasking capabilities. The series includes Core Ultra 9 375H, Core Ultra 7 355H and other models.
The highest-end Core Ultra X series is also based on the H-series architecture, but is equipped with a complete 12-core Xe3 GPU. It is specially designed for high-performance notebooks and mobile workstations, and has optimized graphics bandwidth and supports LPDDR5X memory up to 9600 MT/s. This series includes four models including Core Ultra X9 388H and Core Ultra X7 368H.
