For example, the M1 Ultra is composed of two M1 Max chips, while the M2 Ultra is composed of two M2 Max chips. However, Apple has confirmed that the M4 Max chip lacks UltraFusion connector, which means that the M4 Ultra chip cannot be launched in a simple combination.

Secondly, Apple revealed to many reporters and YouTubers that not every generation of Mac chips will launch an “Ultra” version. The timing of this information also implies that the M4 Ultra chip may never appear.
